At the beginning of a new era for energy-powered devices and buildings, Berwick Electric Co. founder J. Douglas Berwick set out to bring one of the best sources of energy to the Pikes Peak region – electricity. And that legacy is still alive today. With strong roots planted in a desire to bring “the best” in energy to local residences and businesses, the company is pleased to announce that it was recently voted #1 of the best mechanical and electrical contractors in the Pikes Peak region by the Colorado Springs Business Journal’s (CSBJ) “Best of” awards. Runners up were Olson Plumbing & Heating and Tolin Mechanical Systems – two outstanding businesses in the Colorado Springs area.
The CSBJ’s “Best of” awards reception was held last Thursday, June 27, in the new location of Bristol Brewing Co. housed in the recently-renovated Ivywild Elementary School. The renovated school’s blend of history and new direction echoes both Berwick Electric’s long relationship with the Pikes Peak region and its push for innovation in energy today. It was also a great backdrop for the tradition of excellence represented by the many business and individuals in attendance. Berwick Electric Co. would like to say “thank you” to its wonderful staff members, who work diligently day-in and day-out to provide superior service to customers, and to all those who voted. We are very proud to be counted among such a distinguished group of local businesses and individuals, and we look forward to continuing to serve the community with integrity and cutting-edge technology. ____________________________________________________________________________ If you are in need of honest, reliable electrical work, we encourage you to contact us at 719-632-7683, or submit a request by clicking here. |

Berwick Electric Co. is pleased to welcome Tonia Nifong, who will serve as the marketing coordinator, to the team. Tonia is excited to join such a talented staff, and she looks forward to strengthening Berwick’s communications. A Colorado native, Tonia grew up exploring the mountains with her dad. After studying communications, Spanish, and dance at Colorado State University, she moved to Colorado Springs with her husband, Dan. Writing has always been one of Tonia’s passions, and she genuinely enjoys blogging, designing various marketing collateral, creating videos, and anything else creative that she can dream up. Outside of work, Tonia teaches ballet and dances with a local, contemporary dance company called Flourish Dance. Flourish Dance is under the umbrella of Flourish Arts, a local non-profit that utilizes life-affirming creativity as a conduit for healing, bridge building, and community transformation. She is very interested in the role of the arts in positive change at both the individual and community levels. Tonia is continually amazed by the power of community -- some of life’s most influential moments are born out of a great discussion over a hot cup of coffee. Welcome, Tonia! |

Also, the Business Journal has brought back the Best of Business awards. Please VOTE today for your favorite local businesses! We'd love to have your vote for Colorado Springs' best electrical contractor. Berwick Electric Co. is proud to have won this distinction in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2010. (The CSBJ did not offer the competition in 2011 or 2012.)
